Stirling Photography

While I work throughout Scotland, I’ve been based in the city of Stirling for the last fifteen years – and for seven of those my office has been in an old cigarette factory just outside the city centre.

Stirling has two main advantages – firstly it’s near three of the four major Scottish cities (Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee). It’s also close by to several other significant towns – including Falkirk, Alloa, Perth and Dunblane.

On the right hand side you’ll see a selection of my photographs, all of which were shot in the Stirling area. I photographed Carol Graham of Graham’s Dairies (based in Bridge of Allan) at the family farm. Likewise, I shot the Gaynor Knowles and Colin Montgomerie’s engagement photographs at home near Perth. Even closer to home is artist Lys Hansen’s studio, which is actually at the end of my lane.

I also do a lot of photography at Gleneagles – including the RE/MAX Annual Awards – , which is just a few miles from our home in Perthshire. A few miles in the other direction is Dunblane, where I photographed Ewan McGregor for UNICEF at the international C8 (‘c’ for ‘children’) conference at the Dunblane Hydro.

Finally – you’ll see four separate shots of Stirling Castle. The black-and-white shot was actually taken on a 600mm lens as I drove in one autumn morning into my office – I used it on my Christmas card last year.
